Bush Abandons New Orleans...Again
The President's new budget shifts $1.3 billion from rebuilding the levees around the devastated city of New Orleans for other projects. Isn't this the exact same mentality that drowned NOLA the first time? Bush promised the people of Louisiana we'd rebuild their city after Katrina destroyed it. It's bad enough he hasn't kept his other promises to help the poor and displaced people but this smacks of complete insensitivity and a brazen disregard for humanity.
