GOP Congressional Candidate Admits to DUI
The Republican candidate to succeed retiring Rep. John Peterson has admitted to driving while drunk and leaving the scene in an incident last year. Matt Shaner, 28, ran a stop sign and had a small property damage accident and then fled the scene. He admits to having had so much to drink at the time "I shouldn't have been driving."
Since when is a history of bad judgment a qualification for Congress? Amswer: since it became a reason to elect George W. Bush to the White House.
Almost like Obama's use of cocaine, and Edwards channeling the dead to make a zillion dollars ambulance chasing. Hillary in 2008!

I was referencing the blather to which he used to subject juries in North Carolina. He can't even get re-elected Senator and he wants us to vote for him to be our nominee for President? He couldn't even deliver his own state for Kerry.

North Carolina is a red state, a very red state so that isn't a fair measure. Of course no one expects One Nasty Beast to be fair.
