Oh but John, now, didn't you realize that for the most ardent and rabid Pro-Life, anti-any-fucking-abortion-whatsoever types that they believe the woman sinned grievously by wanting the abortion in the first place, or for having sex for pleasure and getting pregnant unwantingly, and that the unborn foetus/child is therefore fruit of the poisoned tree and that means the fruit would be bad an must be cast out now, don't cha-know.

Yes, folks there are people out there who really think that way and want to make it a reality. They are smug, self-righteous, asshats, who don't deserve to be in charge of any "life preserving" efforts. They are more dangerous or at least as dangerous as what the abortion might do to the woman, physically or mentally.

To the doctors that have issues with abortions, please sign off on some paper before becoming licensed so that healthcare facilities never put your sorry behind in a place where you will have to make said type of religiously or morally biased decision and in some cases end up causing more harm than you'd cause if you did the abortive procedure.

I'll tell all you f'n prudes out there what the real damn problem is and how to fix it. STOP being so damn uptight and neurotic about dealing with human sexuality and the reality of human sexuality.
It IS that simple!

People do dumb stuff, engage in violent acts, sexually, sometimes because they are rotten, mean people, but I've treated and taken care of kids in placement that simply were either in abusive families that didn't practice or understand the human sexual aspect of things, or simply were never properly educated and informed and aware and were curious to the point of making some really bad mistakes that will follow some of them the rest of their damn lives.

You cannot and should not try to apply some sort of strange set of morality and religious edicts about sexuality and sins like a one size fits all suit or with the delicacy of a chopping axe in a logging camp. Morals work best when people are educated and are fully aware of the choices and natural aspects of things.

Some morals quite frankly are more harm than good and I don't care if you agree with me or not, the factual impact of them in practice speaks quite clearly to their consequence of practice.

I have to admit I've never heard 'asshat' before DC!! I like it. Mind if I borrow it?

Oh, great comment by the way...could not agree more.

Kirk, you certainly may, as it was not mine to begin with either, but it is a term I've heard bandied about on some blogging sites but not others.

DC: Why don't you start by giving an example of a pro-lifer that says what you attribute to him/her in their his/her words?
