Congressman Chris Carney is kicking off his re-election campaign in the 10th District which covers all or part of ten counties from northeastern Pennsylvania to Sunbury and Williamsport along the Susquehanna River. I joked to them in 2006 that what they really need on this effort is a campaign riverboat, not cars. The District follows the eastern branch of the river from New York State to central PA.
I covered several events Carney's campaign held in 2006 and it was a well organized, successful effort.
Dear Friend,
I wanted to share some exciting campaign news with you. We are back in our campaign office, at 213 South State Street in Clarks Summit. Interested in volunteering? We'd love to have extra hands on deck.
I also want to welcome Vincent Rongione aboard as our campaign manager. Vincent will be overseeing the day to day operations of our campaign, he was part of our team in 2006 and we're excited to have him back. If you need to get in touch with Vincent, you can contact him directly at our campaign office at 570-585-1308.
One of my goals on the campaign is to stay in touch with you. We're going to be producing regular email updates, likely on Sunday afternoon or evenings. This way, you can hear directly from our campaign about what is going on and how you can get involved. I encourage you to reach out to others who might be interested and encourage them to sign up.
Finally, I hope to see many of you at our Blarney for Carney event on March 7th at the Genetti's hotel in Dickson City. Tickets are still available, please contact Aren Platt at [email protected] or via phone at (570) 878-4824.
As always, thank you for your support.
Chris Carney
Member of CongressP.S. Jennifer and I hope to see you at Blarney for Carney! Tickets are $50, please consider buying a ticket or bringing a group. Thanks!
John, are you going to this event?

No Gort. Carney cast a few disappointing votes this session so I won't cover him as extensively as in 2006.

He's also disapointed me on a few things. But I'm sure you will be more disapointed with the votes his GOP challengers would cast.

Very much so Gort. It's a case of the lesser of two evils. Hackett and Meuser are very awful candidates. However am I going to spend my money traveling upstate to give Carney some coverage? Nope.

I was just hoping to see you.
